Building on another sell-out success of Carols by Candlelight, the Petworth Chorus Summer Concert is one of the events of the Summer Season. This year’s theme is The Tracks of Our Years. when the choir will be performing some of the songs that you have loved for so long.

It’s a mixed programme with something for absolutely everyone to say ‘that was my favourite’.

Gates open at 5.30 to allow time for parking, erecting gazebos and setting up your picnics. From 6.15 collect your souvenir programme as you enter the auditorium, transformed for the night, before the

singing commences at 6.45pm, with interval picnics from about 7.30.

Please be back in your seats by 8.45pm for the second half; you should be free to leave some time around 9.30-ish.

In 2025 the concert will, once again, be held in the, hugely convenient, Herbert Shiner School in Petworth with picnics and parking on the verdant sward of the sports field.

The Tracks of Our Years promises to be another Petworth Chorus triumph, brimming with warmth and musicality - not one to miss.

Charity fund-raising

The Petworth Chorus has a fine tradition for raising funds for local charities and local branches of larger charities and has, since its inception, raised thousands of pounds. As much as anything this is to do with the amazing generosity of our audiences.

In choosing the charities to benefit we draw upon the personal connections and passions of Chorus members: Pancreatic Cancer, Downs Syndrome, homelessness, Ukraine;, Palliative Care this year is no different.
